This mom never ages! She's stunning! I have photographed Erica and her beautiful family for years. She contacted me for a new headshot for an upcoming talk show position which is very exciting! We used her own environment and natural soft window light. Of course we needed hubby and her babies, Ricky and Lucy, to make the session complete!
Her older brother is among my favorite subjects with his enormous smiles and playful personality. He now has some competition! She has a huge range of expressions and she's beautiful! To see them together is magical!
Finally a day with little humidity. The twins, whom I have photographed since they were babies, were almost ready to go when I arrived. They just needed a quick outfit change, a puppy on a leash and a few jokes......The setting was spectacular to say the least, the girls were beaming with joy- my job was to freeze these beautiful moments for posterity.
When I pulled up to the house two weeks after the maternity photo session, there was a wooden stork holding a sign with the new baby's name , date of birth and weight. I have to confess that I knew she was a beauty from the image her mom sent me from the hospital. I had my black velvet backdrop and didn't plan on going outside as it was 92 degrees! However, this newborn's mom had a GREAT idea and props to boot! The sleeping beauty was placed in a basket and we took her around and placed her in the best areas around the house! Later Lulu, her big furry sister, came home and responded to her cries! Beautiful baby, beautiful family!
She came with a fresh mani pedi, orange no less! Not a hair out of place even after lots of running and jumping! What a great session with lots child photographer collaboration.
With only weeks to go I headed north with all my studio equipment and in time for gorgeous late afternoon light. This mom glowed! We all had fun with this creative and playful session! I'm excited to meet the little one soon!
And a beautiful red head no less! She had not had a chance to nap, and had a fear of strangers... Lucky for everyone, she loves red and I happened to have shown up to the session wearing my red jacket! She did a 90 minute session without a peep!
Last night was opening night for my favorite practice, Village Obstetrics' new addition, Village Maternity! Doula and midwives abound! I was happy to create this poster for them, a few of the babies in this poster were delivered by these docs! Successful opening celebration for these doulas and midwives with Dr. W and Dr. M.
Who looked this good or danced this well back in the day at 13? Certainly not me! The girls are getting more and more beautiful and confident!
My eighth year! The campers are adorable, ranging from toddlers through 5! I take time with each camper for that optimal portrait.
Tweens photographed since they were babies! Upper west side location both inside and out. Great ages, great ideas...from them! A true collaborative.
We are all waiting patiently for this mild but very long winter to end! Looking forward to summer fun in the Hamptons catching moments like these.
Down to every detail, this party was unique and lots of fun, and a real "kodak" moment! All the 7 year old girls entering the spa party were given pink robes, slippers, a spa menu, a drink and a hot towel and cream!
They entered the main main spa are and were given a choice of a facial (chocolate flavored masks and cucumbers), a massage, pedicure, manicure, hair services and make up! A DJ was playing great tunes in the background and it culminated to a shopping spree of lip gloss, flip flops, rings, candy and more replete with gift credit cards.

Now is the time, the cherry blossoms are luscious for about another 10 days and those bright colorful tulips have limited time ....Outdoor backdrops are at their all time beauty!
A special and short time in a woman's life. Not a time to cover up but to take off the layers and show off that magnificent belly! 
Recipe for a successful newborn photo shoot: One sleeping newborn, two sibs and a baby grand piano....Baby number three for this growing family and another son no less! The boys are loving and fascinated with the new bundle of joy. I feel like it was yesterday that I photographed the middle one, Jake, also a day before his Bris. 
When indoor portraits are finished and there happens to be the rare balcony available...Yes, it was me outside with the camera freezing, but well worth it for this beautiful mom and her daughters!
Today maybe be freezing but next week is predicted to be in the 60's! Yes, the trees may be less colorful , but the children are as beautiful and vivacious as ever after a winter of being cooped up! I like when portraits can stand out without a busy and colorful backdrop. These boys were as silly as always. (I've been their family photographer since the oldest was 4!) Most my shoots include the signature jump!
When the mom asked to meet her in front of Central Park, we were losing light. We had 15 minutes to take photographs before the light was gone. Hence we didn't have a chance to go behind the museum, but in fact made a great discovery on this crowded late afternoon! What better a backdrop for the perfect holiday card, two happy boys and an iconic fountain!
