My favorite park, Carl Schurz, has so many wonderful backdrops for children, families and head shots. A few changes of clothes and several choice backgrounds can 
provide a wide variety of images from a single photo session.

Until now we have had quite warm weather for December. It made a huge difference to lots of families who waited to book their photo sessions until late in the season. The combination of unseasonably warm weather and online card companies quick card's turn around made this season's families very happy!
Westside girl comes to the upper east side for a fun photo shoot with Nina Drapacz Photography!
Her mom picked her up from school and came straight to the park. It was unseasonably warm, luckily, and she had a blast! Apparently this is her first formal photo shoot. Seven is a wonderful age! Between jumping on a thin stairwell banister, doing back bends and hugging a
tree to name a few stints, she didn't want to our session to end. The perfect subject!
Bat Mitzvah in Scarsdale, New York by Nina Drapacz Photography
While I have photographed many birthday parties at the Sunningdale Country Club in Westchester, this was the first Bat Mitzvah I had done there. The room for the ceremony was perfectly set up and the space was wonderful for this kind of celebration! It was a cold rainy day and eventually the sun came out affording me the chance to photograph both indoors and outdoors. It was special to be able to photograph the actual ceremony with available light.

Violet, a perfect name for this beautiful baby! Her first photo shoot, her proud grandmother had bid on my photography at a local church auction before she was even born! How fun- her range of expressions were phenomenal! Such a cutie! This is probably the last days of these wonderful spring cherry blossoms, we lucked out.

I have photographed the two older siblings in my studio awhile back and now that the family is complete, I got a call from the mom letting me know there is another beauty in the family and she was in need to photographs of all! her around everywhere, no sitting for this curious 18 month old!

During the holidays families fly in from all over to celebrate. This family came together for Passover, all 17 
of them and I got a call from the proud grandmother to document. Cousins, aunts and uncles who haven't seen each other for many months were thrilled to see each other! During some of these images I captured, I wondered what was going on behind my to provoke such laughter! Rumor has it some of the uncles were making silly faces and bunny ears above my head....

This winter is ridiculous! I am so tired of wearing my big black down coat , I just want the weather warmer so I can go outdoors and photograph. This photo shoot indoors at my studio is the perfect solution and these girls who I have photographed since they were babies were amazing to work with. Two great outfits per girl and lots of enthusiasm, makes for great images.

Summer is almost here! This wonderful boy and his canine best friend, Duke ,were fun to photograph! It was early October yet the weather was warm enough to be outside without coats. I met these adorable girls and their dog at Washington Square Park. It was very nostalgic as I graduated from New York University for my Bachelors Degree and also my Master’s Degree. The neighborhood and park were wonderfully familiar.When the mom told me she would like to include their dog, Misty, in the photographs as Misty only has a few months to live, I teared up. The shoot became an homage to Misty for me. We included her in tons of images, I chose this to display the girls relationship with her.

Yesterday was freezing! I met these wonderful boys at Carl Schurz Park and they were prepared in these wonderful reto hooded coats! Lots of jokes later, I leave with some amazing colorful fun images. The colors were incredible! Just when I thought perhaps its getting too late in the season to find such vivid colors, there they were! Im so excited!
