Two years ago I photographed this newborn’s older brother in his home. The parents had given birth mid pandemic so the same indoor session was not safe with their second son. They met me with their toddler and two week old baby at the entrance to the park. The entire session was in the cool shade. We able to get his older brother to hold his little hand… apparently a first!
Newborn Baby AND The Only Boy of 5 ! Under 48 Hours by Nina Drapacz Photography.
A "huge" treat to find this chubby little baby born at 10.5 pounds and 36 hours old! He was an adorable sleepy bundle of baby and the only boy in a family with four girls all under the age of 6! The fifth child and according to mom, maybe not the last as he will need a brother....Oh those cheeks!
All my props worked with this big guy. He was so sturdy and content. This session was on the hospital bed using 6:30 pm soft window light.
Photographing a girl named Nina in her home, West Village, NYC by Nina Drapacz Photography
I went to my favorite area in New York City to photography a family. The West Village is such a lively mix of people, food, boutiques and art schools. This family had a lovely apartment with lots of natural window light which is my favorite. To top it off the baby's name was Nina! Photographing in homes is a unique experience. As a photographer I relish the different surroundings. Children are so at ease at home so this makes it most fun for them, plenty of treats in the kitchen, lots of toys, what can be better?
Newborn Photography Upper East Side NYC by Nina Drapacz Photography
] The best part of photographing pregnant moms, is seeing and photographing the beautiful new baby! I love the way this big brother looks at his new sibling, just one week old! Its both a tentative and a incredulous look. This little newborn didn't sleep too long and joins his brother in a chair for more pictures. The next day I photographed his Bris at the Harmonie Club. Not a peep! Needless to say many expecting moms asked the Mohel for his card! Never have I attended or photographed a Bris where the baby doesn't cry!
