Newborn Photography Upper East Side NYC by Nina Drapacz Photography

The best part of photographing pregnant moms, is seeing and photographing the beautiful new baby! I love the way this big brother looks at his new sibling, just one week old! Its both a tentative and a incredulous look. This little newborn didn't sleep too long and joins his brother in a chair for more pictures. The next day I photographed his Bris at the Harmonie Club. Not a peep! Needless to say many expecting moms asked the Mohel for his card! Never have I attended or photographed a Bris where the baby doesn't cry!

A Bris at The Harmonie Club by Nina Drapacz Photography
I have photographed a wonderful Bris
last week at the famous Harmonie Club! I was thrilled to be told by the Cantor that there were no pictures allowed while the diaper was off. This procedure seems harder for parents than the babies. I remember photographing my son's Bris over 26 years ago. I remember being thankful to have the camera between myself and what was happening. Here the Mom is comforting her baby before the procedure. It was quick and the baby stopped crying as soon as his diaper was back on and he was happily sucking on some sweet Manischewitz wine. Everyone sang in celebration when it was done. It was a lovely event!

Newborn Photography by Nina Drapacz Photography NYC
I had the pleasure of photographing a very alert newborn baby! He is just 2 weeks old and after my initial sleeping images , around 7 in total, he woke up! We tried a wonderful stuffed cuddly toy which had a sound machine built in, a wonderful invention I wish I had when my son was a baby!
It worked for a few minutes, then he was up the rest of the time so I was able to capture his big beautiful eyes!

Amy Robach at her home in New York City by Nina Drapacz
I had the pleasure of photographing Amy Robach and Andrew Shue a year ago. I met both sets of children. They were all amazing! I had them jumping and laughing the whole time! What a pleasure! What a photogenic family! When I was shopping last night I saw the article on the cover featuring Amy and her recovery. When I opened the article , there was my photograph!

Gorgeous Siblings at Carl Schurz Park, upper east side NYC by Nina Drapacz Photography
I have been photographing this beautiful redhead since she was a baby and even during her mom’s pregnancy. When her mom takes her out, everyone stops to say hi to her, she is the “mayor” of the block! She’s a bundle of personality and light and a true pleasure to photograph. So, when her little brother arrived it was his turn, and what an adorable cutie he is! He is delicious to photograph, to look at and to hold! What lucky parents!!As with all new siblings, the older child wants a piece of the action when I concentrate on the baby,so we took turns, while the baby was getting ready, he had just learned to sit, I spent time following the older one around and giving her tons of attention, needless to say she was the performer and rose to the occasion.

Twin Toddlers in the Garden of the Church of St. Lukes in the Field, NYC by Nina Drapacz Photography
We were so lucky to have a day in Late October that is 60 degrees and as a photographer, my favorite lighting, cloudy. Twin beauties in the incredible quiet gardens of Saint Luke’s . We did a good job disturbing the peace that afternoon as we prompted the girls with songs, snacks, keys, silly sounds, etc. I’ve had the pleasure of photographing them five months before with their absolutely stunning dog! The dog, a pure white show quality Malamute was the most mellow dog I have ever met! The girls sat on him, fed him their own snacks, pulled him around, what a sweetie!

Washington Square Park NYC by Nina Drapacz Photography
I met these adorable girls and their dog at Washington Square Park. It was very nostalgic as I graduated from New York University for my Bachelors Degree and also my Master’s Degree. The neighborhood and park were wonderfully familiar. When the mom told me she would like to include their dog, Misty, in the photographs as Misty only has a few months to live, I teared up. The shoot became an homage to Misty for me. We included her in tons of images, I chose this to display the girls relationship with her.

Maternity in the Park New York City by Nina Drapacz Photography
I love to photograph pregnancy in natural surroundings, weather permitting. This mom has a beautiful son and is pregnant with her second son. She had a workout better than mine that day! What a pleasure to work with and so strong and flexible! Pregnancy is a wonderful time in a woman’s life, she glows! I love to capture these moments! I love to capture these moments!

The colors were incredible! Just when I thought perhaps its getting too late in the season to find such vivid colors, there they were! Im so excited!

Studio Photography, a Solution for the Cold Weather by Nina Drapacz Photography
When it gets too cold or you would enjoy a cozy studio photo shoot where changing clothing is possible while listening to great music… you will love our studio photo shoots. The studio is conveniently located on the upper east side of New York City. We have all the amenities. For babies and youngsters we have toys and lollypops and for older children, teenagers and adults there are hair blowing fans and great music! Its a comfortable setting which everyone enjoys! These two beautiful girls have been my subjects since they were babies! I love the dresses they brought! Lighting is easy and creative and doesn’t involve hunting for areas with shadow to hide from the harsh sun as the outdoors entail.
