This family won my services from a school donation. The mom is well known in the media world and needed head shots for these beautiful babies. I was thrilled to meet them at the door! I had a special request to meet and photograph a family in Tribeca as they were moving to the suburbs and wanted to document their family in the neighborhood they had lived for many years. We walked to a street where, apparently, many photographers use for all kinds of photo shoots. It was incredible! There was a man with an easel there painting, very European AND very New York in every way... I asked them to set the baby down on the dirty hard concrete, they willingly agreed- and out came these images! In one of the images, the baby's expression seems to be saying, "W
hat? My parents just put me down alone on this hard dirty floor???!"

As I was listening to a grandmother's anticipation of the impending birth of her first grandchild, in comes her neighbor with a gorgeous newborn girl -what a beautiful little baby! I had just my phone on me, no business cards I thought but luckily I had one card tucked inside my phone case and viola-
I had the opportunity to photograph this little gem the next day! She slept for just a few minutes, but enough time to capture exactly what her parents and I wanted!

I photographed this cute little baby as a newborn. He made the business card! Months later we met up with mom and dad in Carl Schurz Park in Manhattan. Dad was had no qualms about setting down the baby on concrete, grass and even prop him up in a tree! He was right behind him so it was "ok" with mom. I think maybe I was the most nervous!

The family was moving out of their home in days and I expected chaos in the apartment, but instead I was greeted by a calm and beautiful mom and newborn...siblings arrived after camp. We took advantage of the big white bed and the wonderful window light. Just minutes to work with the baby before he woke up. He was so alert throughout the entire photo shoot at only a mere week old!

Still trying to remember when the weather was warm... although these images were from an extremely hot summer day in August. Looking at these I wonder when it will warm up and be sunny. Two families live locally and one from San Francisco. All the cousins were adorable, most inherited wonderful dimples!!! Its a big group and lots of different ages and temperaments and it was 95 degrees but somehow, a big success! Can the proud grandparents be any more thrilled??

Summer is almost here! This wonderful boy and his canine best friend, Duke ,were fun to photograph! It was early October yet the weather was warm enough to be outside without coats. I am excited to photograph all summer long in the Hamptons where the beaches and homes make for perfect backdrops to the beautiful families.
