Hamptons by Nina Drapacz

I met these amazing children at the Bridgehampton Surf and Tennis Club many years ago. They live in another state but like to be in the Hamptons with their family each summer. The goal was to capture these two with their 3 cousins. Here are a few of my favs from this session.

When I arrived, this gorgeous girl was watching her father and brother playing basketball. She was dressed to go and they ran into the house to change. I met this the family when the kids went to Bridgehampton Tennis and Surf Club Camp a few years back and they all keep getting more beautiful each year.

Beach Captures! Hamptons, NY. Nina Drapacz Photography

Unseasonably warm, why not? Its never the wrong time to have beach portraits! This day was extremely cloudy, a photographer's dream! No shadows and the ability to shoot from any direction without squints!

There was a small mouse running around behind me until a seagull swept down and captured it! I don't know who screamed the loudest, the mom, the kids or me!

The sun was still this bright at 6:30, and incredibly golden orange. The girls, who have been among my favorite subjects for years, were really excited to be photographed! The combination made this early evening session magical!

I recommend squeezing the last drops of golden light available when it comes to beach shoots. This family started inside and when we got to the beach, just steps away, we had about 10 minutes. This being said, once the sun set, there was a lovely soft dusk that set in, shadowless and wonderful!

These images show how much fun these sibs were having!

Among The Last Summer Sessions in Bridgehampton by Nina Drapacz

This session was one of three, the first of the day and it was sweltering in the sun! The finale was the entire family, minus the dog, jumping on the trampoline together! They each took turns doing tricks, I chose this image because the mom literally finished doing a flip! Needless to say I was impressed!

It was a super hot and humid day but lucky for us, cloudy! The only way to successfully shoot on the beach is either all clouds or very late day sun, which isn't always the best time for young subjects. Its hard to tell how hot it was that afternoon by these images, the family was gorgeous, cool and collect. The best part was how they wanted the images to be interactive and not posed. This gave everyone a lot of freedom to have fun! My favorite part was the creative license this afforded me to truly capture the spirit of the family in a unique way.

Tween Sibs on a Summer Night at the Beach Nina Drapacz Photography

The very end of August around 7pm.....it started with awesome warm orange light then a magical sky after the sunset. The girls could have kept going all night! Tweens are great! While the parents were under the impression that the light would not be as good this late, it happens to be the BEST light.kib kib2 kibkib4

Dreaming of Summer Again. Bridgehampton by Nina Drapacz

I first photographed these sisters at the BSTC camp the previous year. I had the special privilege of photographing them this summer on their own turf. Loved the woodsy setting!schiff schif schiff schiff2schiff3

Gorgeous girl, gorgeous horse! Photography in Watermill, NY by Nina Drapacz

The day before braces and the last chance for portraits for awhile. The horse stepped on her toe about a half an hour into the shoot. Session over too quickly but luckily I captured these beautiful memories of a summer of riding!href="https://ninadrapaczblog.files.wordpress.com/2015/08/gen.jpg">gen gen2 gen3
