Westport Connecticut on a beautiful spring afternoon by Nina Drapacz Photography
A new addition to this family! I have photographed the two older siblings in my studio awhile back and now that the family is complete, I got a call from the mom letting me know there is another beauty in the family and she was in need to photographs of all! You can imagine who was in charge of the session..we followed her around everywhere, no sitting for this curious 18 month old!
Family Reunion Central Park NYC by Nina Drapacz Photography
During the holidays families fly in from all over to celebrate. This family came together for Passover, all 17 of them and I got a call from the proud grandmother to document. Cousins, aunts and uncles who haven't seen each other for many months were thrilled to see each other! During some of these images I captured, I wondered what was going on behind my to provoke such laughter! Rumor has it some of the uncles were making silly faces and bunny ears above my head....

Family Reunion in New Jersey by Nina Drapacz Photography
Still trying to remember when the weather was warm... although these images were from an extremely hot summer day in August. Looking at these I wonder when it will warm up and be sunny. Two families live locally and one from San Francisco. All the cousins were adorable, most inherited wonderful dimples!!! Its a big group and lots of different ages and temperaments and it was 95 degrees but somehow, a big success! Can the proud grandparents be any more thrilled??
Dreaming of Summer in the Hamptons by Nina Drapacz Photography
Summer is almost here! This wonderful boy and his canine best friend, Duke ,were fun to photograph! It was early October yet the weather was warm enough to be outside without coats. I am excited to photograph all summer long in the Hamptons where the beaches and homes make for perfect backdrops to the beautiful families.
Indoor Photo Shoot one year later, Upper West Side, NYC by Nina Drapacz Photography
A year ago this beautiful boy was born, he was just two days old when his parents asked me to come to photograph him with his family. He was adorable as a newborn and is a very active cute little baby/ toddler! Loves sports and goofing around with his two older brothers. Lucky for auto focus, he's fast! His mom called me to photograph him as a surprise gift for his dad's birthday. I hear Dad was thrilled!
Photographing a girl named Nina in her home, West Village, NYC by Nina Drapacz Photography
I went to my favorite area in New York City to photography a family. The West Village is such a lively mix of people, food, boutiques and art schools. This family had a lovely apartment with lots of natural window light which is my favorite. To top it off the baby's name was Nina! Photographing in homes is a unique experience. As a photographer I relish the different surroundings. Children are so at ease at home so this makes it most fun for them, plenty of treats in the kitchen, lots of toys, what can be better?

Newborn Photography Upper East Side NYC by Nina Drapacz Photography
] The best part of photographing pregnant moms, is seeing and photographing the beautiful new baby! I love the way this big brother looks at his new sibling, just one week old! Its both a tentative and a incredulous look. This little newborn didn't sleep too long and joins his brother in a chair for more pictures. The next day I photographed his Bris at the Harmonie Club. Not a peep! Needless to say many expecting moms asked the Mohel for his card! Never have I attended or photographed a Bris where the baby doesn't cry!
Gorgeous Siblings at Carl Schurz Park, upper east side NYC by Nina Drapacz Photography
I have been photographing this beautiful redhead since she was a baby and even during her mom’s pregnancy. When her mom takes her out, everyone stops to say hi to her, she is the “mayor” of the block! She’s a bundle of personality and light and a true pleasure to photograph. So, when her little brother arrived it was his turn, and what an adorable cutie he is! He is delicious to photograph, to look at and to hold! What lucky parents!!As with all new siblings, the older child wants a piece of the action when I concentrate on the baby,so we took turns, while the baby was getting ready, he had just learned to sit, I spent time following the older one around and giving her tons of attention, needless to say she was the performer and rose to the occasion.
Twin Toddlers in the Garden of the Church of St. Lukes in the Field, NYC by Nina Drapacz Photography
We were so lucky to have a day in Late October that is 60 degrees and as a photographer, my favorite lighting, cloudy. Twin beauties in the incredible quiet gardens of Saint Luke’s . We did a good job disturbing the peace that afternoon as we prompted the girls with songs, snacks, keys, silly sounds, etc. I’ve had the pleasure of photographing them five months before with their absolutely stunning dog! The dog, a pure white show quality Malamute was the most mellow dog I have ever met! The girls sat on him, fed him their own snacks, pulled him around, what a sweetie!
Washington Square Park NYC by Nina Drapacz Photography
I met these adorable girls and their dog at Washington Square Park. It was very nostalgic as I graduated from New York University for my Bachelors Degree and also my Master’s Degree. The neighborhood and park were wonderfully familiar. When the mom told me she would like to include their dog, Misty, in the photographs as Misty only has a few months to live, I teared up. The shoot became an homage to Misty for me. We included her in tons of images, I chose this to display the girls relationship with her.
